ATTO Meets New Transport Malta CEO

25 August 2026

The Chairman and several Board members of ATTO held their first meeting with the new Transport Malta CEO, Mr Leonid McKay, on Thursday, 20 August 2026. Mr McKay was accompanied by senior Transport Malta directors. The constructive meeting provided an opportunity to discuss a range of important EU and local issues affecting Malta’s transport and haulage sector, with particular emphasis on infrastructure and enforcement.

ATTO Meets New Transport Malta CEO

ATTO particularly welcomed the positive developments regarding the long-standing issue of dedicated lay-by parking for empty trailers at Corradino. Concrete progress is now being registered, together with plans for the restructuring of Corradino Hill. ATTO considers these developments important steps towards improving operational efficiency and safety.

Furthermore, the two sides agreed to hold regular meetings with the aim to continue to address various important issues that have an impact on the transport and logistics sector in the national interest/economy.
