Se jitneħħew it-trailers u kontejners mitluqin u pparkjati illegalment fit-toroq

12 August 2024

Bil-għan li jkun hawn aktar sigurtà fit-toroq Maltin, trailers u kontejners mitluqin u pparkjati illegalment fit-toroq jew f’żoni partikolari, inkluż fiż-żona ta’ Ras il-Ħanżir u ż-Żona Industrijali ta’ Kordin, li tinsab biswit, se jkunu qed jitneħħew.

Dan tħabbar f’avviż maħruġ minn Transport Malta, waqt li l-miżura għandha l-għan li tevita perikli żejda fit-toroq tagħna, waqt li d-dehra tagħhom ma tibqax tkerrah l-inħawi.

Fuq il-midja soċjali, il-Ministru responsabbli Chris Bonett ukoll tenna li din l-azzjoni qed tittieħed wara tħassib li wrew residenti, xufieri u kull min jiffrekwenta l-inħawi.

Uffiċjali minn Transport Malta se jkunu qed jagħmlu kuntatt mas-sidien ta’ dawn it-trailers biex ineħħuhom mit-toroq imsemmijin. Jekk ma titteħidx azzjoni, mit-22 ta’ Awwissu l-istess vetturi se jkunu qed jitneħħew u jittieħdu f’faċilità b’mod definittiv.

F’kumment bit-telefown ma’ ONE News, il-Ministru Bonett tenna l-għan ta’ dawn il-passi li se jittieħdu.

“Ħafna nies qaluli, il-mument li sirt Ministru, kien dwar il-periklu li kien hemm, speċjalment fiż-żona ta’ Kordin fuq trailers abbandunati fit-triq, speċjalment bil-lejl li qed ikunu ta’ periklu enormi. Għamilna żmien nistudjaw is-sitwazzjoni u bdejna bl-ewwel pass f’Kordin. Mit-22 ta’ Awwissu se nibdew nieħdu passi biex min ma jneħħix it-trailers, inkunu qed inneħħuhom aħna, Transport Malta, u noħduhom f’faċilità biex dawn jintremew.”

Il-Ministru kompla jgħidilna li, sal-ewwel kwart tas-sena li ġejja, se jittieħdu l-passi fi nħawi oħrajn, bħalma huma Ta’ Qali, Ħal Qormi  u Ħal Far. Hu spjegalna t-triq ’il quddiem f’dan is-settur.

“Iżda wkoll irridu nkomplu nitkellmu mal-burdnara u mal-assoċjazzjonijiet li jirrappreżentaw lis-sidien ta’ dawn it-trailers biex ovvjament il-ħajja tagħhom nipprovaw inġibuha aktar faċli fil-mod minn fejn  joperaw. Ma ninsewx li din hi industrija importanti mmens,   għax it-trailers huma dawk, wara kollox, li jġorru l-ikel mill-vapuri tagħna, biex imbagħad inkunu nistgħu nikkonsmawhom aħna. Ir-rwol tagħhom hu importanti, però wasal iż-żmien ukoll li nibdew nieħdu passi għas-sigurtà fit-toroq. Il-mument li nibdew nirrispettaw lil xulxin ma jkunx hemm għalfejn, permezz ta’ Transport Malta, li nibdew nieħdu passi bħal dawn.”
