On the 3rd October, 2023 The Association of Tractor & Trailer Operators organized a seminar for its members. The main guest speakers were Mrs Lynn Muscat, Manager, Project Support At SEM – Servizzi Ewropej Malta and Ing. Ronald Attard Pullicino, Senior Manager - Projects, Innovation & International Affairs at Malta Transport. The seminar dealt about the specific funds which a transport operator may apply for funds and which come either from EU or directly from the Maltese Government. The seminar was very interesting to the audience. Follow-up meetings are due to start soon.
The seminar was the first event for all members of ATTO on its first year of activity. It also served as a get-together with other members to discuss common challenges. The two main challenges existing at the moment are the revision of the EU Transport legislation and the Combined Transport Directive. ATTO is grateful to the valuable contribution and service beiantng provided on this matter by the the Ministry For Transport headed by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Godwin Mifsud and Ms Lucienne Mejlak, Director, Policy Development at the Ministry of Transport.
